O.A.R New Album Buzz Is “King” Sized

Of a Revolution, aka O.A.R. is ready to release their 7th studio album on August 2nd, entitled King. Formed at a Maryland local high school, O.A.R. has continued to grow over the past 15 years. Since their debut album in 1997, O.A.R. has gone from a local college band to one of the biggest rock bands around with a Top 15 hit to their name.
Stream their first single, “Heaven”:
During the early days of O.A.R., their songwriting circled around stories being told through the character’s point of view. On their debut album The Wanderer, most of the songs were focused on who the “The Wanderer” wanted to become in his life. Now, the band has returned to their original songwriting tactics on King. The new album picks up where “The Wanderer” left off back in 1997.
Watch behind the scenes footage of King:
During the band’s past tour, they previewed multiple songs from King live. Yet, fans already know, the studio version of songs are usually slightly different than their live counterparts. The first track of the album and its namesake features the legendary Russell Simmons, who lends his hip hop sound to an already groovy song. As the album continues, the story of “The Wanderer” continues with tracks such as “Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes,” “The Last Time,” and “Back to One”. The album also features 3 instrumental songs.
The band recently performed in Las Vegas at AXE Music One Night Only. Click Here for two exclusive live performances from the band.
