Nickelback Capture The Country’s Mood on “Here and Now” – Exclusive Interview

“
It feels good. Even if you effect one person, that's a great thing.
”
Chad Kroger of Nickelback
Nickelback cares about you. Above all else, they want fans to know that the band thinks about their happiness, their well-being, and the world we share. This message was clear as bandmembers Chad, Mike, Daniel and Ryan sat down for this exclusive interview with Street Date on the eve of their latest album release. Click through to find out how Nickelback captured the mood of the nation on Here and Now, and check out the music videos for their two brand new singles “Bottoms Up” and “When We Stand Together.”
Exclusive Interview with Nickelback
“
We went with two singles: the party anthem and the melodic song about trying to make the world a better place.
”
Since hitting it big in the early 2000′s Nickelback have toured the globe and seen their fortunes rise on the back of their anthemic, relatable rock songs and good-time party jams. This high-flying lifestyle hasn’t put them out of touch with the “regular folks” who make up their fanbase – if anything it’s done the opposite. To speak with Nickelback these days is to witness their genuine connection to the people who buy and listen to their music. This connection provided the raw material for the songs on Here and Now, the band’s most aptly-titled effort to date.
“
We're a bunch of goofs. Getting any serious side of us is extremely difficult.
”
Among the rabble-rousing party tunes (like first single “Bottoms Up”) are thoughtful takes on the state of world affairs, set to bold guitar lines that will ring out loud in the stadiums Nickelback inhabit around the world. “When We Stand Together” is the best example of this – hit play below to watch the lyrics video.
