Seether Let Their Fans Do All The Work On New EP

The pride of South Africa have really mixed things up on their newest release, a 6-track EP that for the first time will feature remixes of select Seether songs taken from 2011′s Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray. But that’s not the only curveball the band throws on the new EP; the real story being that all six remixes on what the band have dubbed Remix EP are carefully crafted by none other than the Seether faithful.
The unique concept behind Seether‘s new Remix EP was conceived after a contest that gave members of Indaba Music‘s strong online community of roughly 650,000 musicians the opportunity to create their own remixes of the band’s number one single, Tonight. After listening to the 1,000+ submissions, one lucky Seether fan, Greensboro, NC native Neon Feather reigned supreme among fellow remixees to take home $1,000 cash and a slew of other prizes.

After hearing Feather’s rendition as well as numerous other fan submissions, the band was intrigued and became curious to see what other songs their fans could create remixes too. After a short time, it was clear that the fans had it in them and would not let the band down and thus, Remix EP was born. A careful selection process would follow and by the end, 5 songs in addition to Feather’s remix of Tonight were chosen and will now be released for the world to enjoy as much as the band did!
The complete track listing for Seether‘s Remix EP is as follows:
- Tonight (Neon Feather Remix)
- Country Song (Elder Jepson Remix)
- Tonight (Polymer Drone Remix)
- No Resolution (Skolnik Remix)
- Roses (Protector Drumstep Remix)
